Rubbing alcohol as stated more rapidly will work on some inks but not all. If the clog have been within a while the build up will take greatly of time to remove with alcohol. Denatured alcohol is stronger and harder to grasp. For the best result use Acetate (common finger nail polish remover) Take a lint free daily towel like Scott's and pour the acetate onto it. Be scant it will ruin most surfaces of tables and etc. Slowly run the tape thru the acetate until the ink disappears, flipping the towel to a clean spot continually. You may enjoy to do this a couple of times to remove the ink deposits. Hope this helps.
Start,
Printers and Faxes,
Right click Printer deity,
then Properties,
afterwards Utilities tab,
click Head Cleaning.
Ink in the Print Head dries up when printer is impracticable for a long time. Head Cleaning consumes alot of ink. No paper requirements to be in the printer to do this.

Only use Epson ink. Otherwise lead clogs frequently.
rubbing alchol is a solvent for compter ink.
I used a soft cloth with heat water, compassionately swabbing until the ink flows freely.
