Open the HP tool box, you can do this from you print screen by going,



Print -----> Properties------->services or running



You should find an ink level int nearby, however not all HPs come next to an ink level indicator.



usually check videotape means that the electronics on the videotape have any expired or been destabilized. Your best bet is to replace the offending cartridge.
What the printer is truism is "You are low on ink" so you need to be prepared to join a new one.
